WHAT ARE EXOSOMES?

Exosomes are messengers between cells. They transfer information from one cell to another.  (plated) Skin Care products utilize regenerative exosomes, the bodies natural healers.  They target areas of damage, including redness/inflammation, discoloration, and lack of collagen production.  Exosomes communicate chemical signals to these cells to regenerate and heal

WHY IS (plated) THE BEST AND MOST TRUSTED EXOSOME PRODUCT FOR SKIN?

(plated) is different in a variety of ways...

(plated) utilizes regenerative exosomes only.  Platelet-derived exosomes have been demonstrated to improve various cutaneous measures of aging and wound healing, as platelets are the first responders in the healing cascade.  Other exosome products are plant-derived or MSC/stem-cell derived.  While we can get nutrients from plants, plant cells and human cells do not communicate.  So, if you are looking for a true regenerative aesthetic product with cell regeneration, you don't want to opt for plant derived products. Stem cell/MSC derived exosomes come from heterogenous tissues with varying cell sources which make it challenging to isolate a specific regenerative exosome.  MSC cells are also expanded in culture (grown outside the body) in a lab that may lead to change in cell content and behavior of the exosomes.  (plated) is manufactured in the US with a heavy FDA presence since Rion Medical is currently undergoing multiple FDA trials.

(plated) is shelf stable at room temperature for up to 18 mos.  Most other exosome products have to be refrigerated or frozen and are only used during in-office treatments.

ARE THERE ANY LONG TERM SIDE EFFECTS FROM USING (plated) PRODUCTS?

We are continuing to follow our patients from our POSH (Platelets On Skin Health) study.  We have seen no negative effects from continuing to use our (plated) products.

DO (plated) PRODUCTS INCREASE RISK OF SKIN CANCER DUE TO GROWTH FACTORS? 

(plated) contains growth factors in viable, encapsulated regenerative exosomes.  The exosomes these have built in “brakes” so they know when to stop proliferating.  Products that contain “naked” or non-protected (added) growth factors may have variable results due to instability.  For platelet-derived clinical exosomes, we have looked at cell cancer lines and have found that cell to cell contact inhibition is preserved.  There has been no occurrence of any pro-growth or pro-tumorigenic effects.

ARE (plated) PRODUCTS BETTER THAN YOUR OWN PRP? 

Our (plated) products have been referred to as “PRP in a bottle” by some of our providers.  (plated) products are more stable than PRP because the platelets in our products are pooled, coming from many sources, not just one source like PRP. PRP can be highly variable based on the individual’s health, diet, stress level, etc.  By pooling the platelets you are able to have a more stable product.

BECAUSE THEY ARE DERIVED FROM HUMAN TISSUE, IS THERE A RISK OF COMMUNICABLE DISEASE?

The platelets in (plated) are sourced from FDA-sanctioned blood banks which implement standard screening procedures with all donors.  The platelets are further sterilized using washing measures before manufacturing.
