Description

Silagen silicone gel sheeting is made of 100% medical-grade silicone. When used consistently, this customizable gel sheet can visibly smooth, flatten, and lighten the appearance of scars. The mechanism by which silicone sheeting works is to protect scars from damaging environmental elements (UVA/UVB rays, light, heat, dryness).

Siliagen gel sheeting is clear and low-profile.

We recommend this product to our clients to use on scars after the initial phase of healing (all sutures removed, no oozing or crusting, and the skin is intact). The sheeting is completely customizable, reusable, and can be worn day and night. We feel this product works by protecting vulnerable scar tissue from harsh environmental elements (dryness, sun exposure). Instructions

Silagen Silicone Gel sheeting is the result of 10 years of research and development. It is non-sensitizing, self-adhesive and flexible. Instructions: 1) Remove gel sheet from package and, if necessary, trim to fit the scar. Sheet should extend at least 1/2 inch beyond the scar. 2. Ensure scar area is clean and dry, as well as free from creams, lotions, ointments, and powders. 3. Peel of the backing and apply over scar with adhesive side down. 4. Wear daily for 6-24 hours . Remove once daily to allow site to be washed and dried 5. For best results, use for a minimum of 2 months 6. If gel sheet becomes dirty or loses adhesiveness, wash gently with water and mild soap. Allow to air dry before reapplying. 7. Use clear storage tray included in the package to store gel sheet when not in use.
